Every GIF tool in one place

14 free tools, grouped by the job they do. Each one keeps your animation's frames and timing intact unless you ask it to change them.

Which GIF tool do I need?

Start with the problem, not the tool. If the GIF is too large to upload, use Compress GIF to Size with the limit you're up against. If you only want it lighter for a web page, Compress GIF with the Balanced preset is the quickest win.

If the GIF is the wrong shape, Crop GIF removes what you don't need and Resize GIF changes the pixel dimensions. Shrinking dimensions is also the single biggest size saver, because file size grows with the area of every frame.

If the GIF moves wrong, the GIF Speed Changer fixes playback speed and loop count, Reverse GIF flips the direction, and Rotate & Flip GIF fixes sideways phone recordings.

If you want to create something new, the GIF Maker stitches images into an animation and Add Text to GIF captions it. To take a GIF apart, Split GIF exports every frame as a PNG.

Not sure what's inside a file? The GIF Metadata Viewer lists frame count, delays, loop setting and palette without uploading anything.

Tips for chaining tools

Order matters. Crop first, then resize, then compress last. Compressing early and editing afterwards means the colors get reduced twice, which costs quality for nothing.

Each result page has a download button, so you can save the file and drop it straight into the next tool. Our guide on reducing GIF file size walks through a full workflow.
